Local Time: 15:36
Weather: 76 degrees F, 66% humidity, 10% chance of rain, 24mph wind from the North I have finally arrived in Wellionton! I spent the morning tooling around the harbor watching seagauls fight each other for bread crumbs; their little bodies hunched and puffed, their war crows echoing along the pier. Someone on the bench next to me decided to toss their leftovers on the sidewalk and suddenly our spot was filled with the pesky things... I also watched children jumping off bridges and cement walls right into the bay, no beach in sight, swimming with the green sludge that had collected along the harbor walls. I almost wanted to join them...instead, I listened to their happy taunts as they egged each other to jump; daring to plummet from higher and higher places. The hotel Manager told me there are sting rays that hang along the pier...apparently this didn’t bother the children. The sea air is wonderful, the coffee is delicious and people are wonderfully friendly. The adventure has begun!
